Herbs are plants that would be used for seasoning in cooking or made as a tea many have medicinal properties.

Medicinal herbs are plants that are not commonly used in landscaping and have a medicinal quality be it topically, internally, or smell. If you are looking for medicinal plants you will need to use the search button for key words like "ADAPTAGEN" as many of the medicinal plants are listed in other categories.

Flowers are plants grown for their appearances.

Vegetables  are plants that we eat of course but there are some you may have never heard of from different parts of the world. Use the key word "EDIBLE" for plants that may be used in an edible landscaping design from other categories.

Vines are listed separate to allow for subcategories. 

Salvia is also listed to separate for subcategories.

Others is a listing for bushes, trees and things we could find a home for.
